As always, Hockey Now keeps you on top of the latest news and notes from around the league. We also want to send out our best wishes for a speedy recovery to Kitchener Rangers rookie defencemen Ben Fanelli, who suffered serious head and facial injuries in a game last week.

He decided in favour of the Spitfires over Boston College and has made an immediate impact, registering six points in his first six OHL games.
Plymouth Whalers C Tyler Seguin has been ultra impressive in the early part of the season, battling with Taylor Hall for the OHL Scoring lead. But as impressive as his 18 goals and 34 points in 17 games is, his play without the puck and on the defensive side of the game is just as solid. One of the smallest players in the league, but with a big heart, he has worked hard for several seasons for everything he gets. His hard work is paying off. After registering 23 points in 67 games last year, Hayes has surged to nine goals and 19 points in 17 games this season.
